Nevada's Gaming Control Board information sheet for fiscal year 2025 records statewide gaming win of US$15.64 billion. Slot win was US$10.61 billion and table, counter and card games contributed US$5.03 billion. The figures are a reminder of the operational scale of land-based gaming, but they also need careful interpretation.
What 'win' measures
Gaming win is the amount retained by licensed gaming activity after payouts, not total money wagered and not a casino company's profit. It also does not cover the entire resort business. Hotel rooms, food, beverage, entertainment and other activities sit outside this simple gaming split. Comparing win with operating income or tourism spending without those distinctions can mislead.
The board's information sheet shows Clark County accounting for 86.8% of statewide gaming win in the period. The geographic concentration underlines the importance of Las Vegas and its surrounding market, even though Nevada's regulated industry extends well beyond the Strip.
Why suppliers watch the split
The slot and table categories help explain why cabinets, games, table equipment and operating systems all attract investment. A supplier can use them to understand market size, but not to infer the performance of an individual product. Floor productivity depends on location, customer mix, game selection, staffing and local rules.
Nevada publishes monthly releases and more detailed revenue information. The FY2025 snapshot is useful as a baseline; it should be paired with later periods when assessing a live trend.
